White Dove Releases

For Any Occasion

What better way to memorialize any event than with the release of pure white doves? The inspiring sight of a multitude of gorgeous white birds taking to the air in a flutter of graceful wings is an experience that will be remembered for many years. Doves may be given in lieu of flowers, or in addition to them.

White Dove Releases have for centuries represented peace, unity, purity and hope. Once available only for the elite, white dove releases may now be found worldwide. Releasing these beautiful white birds at your event will help ensure the memories of a lifetime.

Our members are devoted to their birds and dedicated to presenting professional white dove releases. We look forward to working with you to help present an event of a lifetime! Many hours go into their training ensuring that when released from a site they will return home. Our birds live and love to fly! Our Care Page has more information on how we raise and care for our birds.dove in forest

Please Note: The smaller Ringneck Doves should never be released as they will almost certainly perish. They have little homing ability and are not suitable to surviving in the wild. Visit the American Dove Association for more information. Instead, pure white Homing Pigeons are trained and used for white dove releases. These beautiful white birds are a domestic pigeon derived from the Rock Dove (Columba Livia Domestica) and are selectively bred for returning home over long distances.

A Homing Pigeon lives and loves to fly! The wild rock pigeon has a natural homing ability and will return to its own nest and its own mate. This has made it relatively easy to breed birds that have repeatedly found their way home over very long distances. The birds have been recorded on flights as long as 1,100 mi (1,800 km) in pigeon racing. Their average flying speed over a distance of 500 miles is about 50 mph (80 km/h), but speeds of up to 110 mph (177 km/hr) have been observed in top racers for short distances (100 miles).

The American Racing Pigeon Union has been targeted by PETA. This directly effects all pigeon and dove fanciers. A fund has been set up to help with legal fees for the AU's executive director and two members who have recently been under attack by PETA. Contributions may be sent to:

Thinking of releasing balloons? Please think again. Although balloons are beautiful as they sail away on the slightest breeze... but then what? They turn into litter! Not only do they end up as unsightly garbage, they are actually dangerous. Both wildlife and pets can ingest, or become tangled in, balloons causing a slow and needless death. Please visit BalloonsBlow.org for more information.
